Yes! The movie was really good. It was interesting to see how Tim Burton adapted the stage production material for film. People who are familiar with the original stage production however may be a bit disappointed, as some of the songs were shortened and others were cut all together. It really depends on what background knowledge of Sweeney a person has, also depends on if they can tolerate musicals or not. In any case, the music in the movie is incredible (having been composed by Stephen Sondheim). The Production design in the movie is also very unique and carries a profound Gothic Victorian feel to it, costumes are also very interesting to pay attention to. The movie also featured Johnny Depp as lead role which might add extra incentive to watch it.
