∙ 13y agoRob and Brandy both are no longer cast member's on GHI. They did not participate in the season premiere on Wednesday, January 5th, 2011 and they have also been removed from the GHI website.

Why was rob demerest and brandi greene removed from ghi?
Robb was let go from GHI, and Brandy left on her own. Brandy has said recently (2011) that she is "retiring" from the paranormal world. No answer as to why though.

The only info I managed to dig up on the whole situation is that Robb didn't like some of the changes Pilgrim Films was throwing into the show, so he left as a result. Unlike the original TAPS Team, GHI is owned by Pilgrim films, and Ghost Hunters is completely independent from GHI. GHI was created away from Ghost Hunters, people were just contacted about joining an international team and if they chose to come they could. GHI is subjected to change constantly by Pilgrim films along with GHA (Ghost Hunters Academy). Ghost Hunters is the only show that is free from any changes by a major corporation since they are the start of it all.

But supposedly SyFy wanted to experiment on adding to GHI. Either by ad-living, implementing more evidence, and acting. The two named above became displeased and felt that GHI was stepping away from what they established.Keep in mind GH is NOT in control of GHI on how the show is run, SyFy is. And like any other TV show ratings bring in money. So you can read between the lines of why they left or got fired.
