Is primitive man's search for security may differ from that of modern man?

The search and quest for fullfilling needs gets more and more complex as we go up the ladder in the evolutionary life chain. We can notice the difference in the type and complexity of the needs each organism exhibits. This is directly linked to how far the intelligence and reasoning power of an organism has developed. Its is almost certain that a primitive man's perception and understanding of being a part of this universe was different from that of the modern man.
A basic shelter which would provide protection from invaders and extreme climate was the height of luxury that a primitive man could imagine. Things have certainly changed as the concept of security now includes a sizeable number of parameters ranging from the basic shelter concept of the primitive man to the most advanced desirous luxuries.
However if any tragedy strikes the modern man, his attitude towards the security might switch back to that of our primitive ancestors!!
Its all dependant and relative to the circumstances that he faces..
