Kiba Inuzuka is a member of the Inuzuka clan. The Inuzuka clan is a clan that uses ninja dogs as fighting partners, and they care very much for these dogs. That's the Inuzuka clan wrapped up in a nutshell, so Kiba is simply another shinobi in the Naruverse. Kiba was no doubt chosen to appear the way that he does because Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, wanted to have as many ethnicities in his manga (which preceded the anime). Kiba wears a parka, with fur around the color and has face paint (as well as a fixation with dogs as Eskimo people have with their sled dogs), much like the Inuit people who ice fish.

∙ 16y agoKiba is a Konoha Villiage genin (he becomes a chuunin in Shippuuden) who is a friend of Naruto's. His teammates are Hinata Hyuga and Shino Aburame, and he studies under Kurenai. Kiba's dog, Akamaru, is a ninja tool, and is necessary for most of Kiba's attacks. Kiba sees Akamaru as both a beloved pet and a best friend. Kiba is considered a powerful comrade by most Konoha ninja.
