well your descriptions are not exact, although it is true.
it should not be girl vs normal, but tall vs short shion.
the tall shion (which you refer to as "normal") is an illusion.
the short shion (which you refer to as "girl") is the real one.
madam kirika just made an illusion to make shion taller.
