Obviously not, hence the disclaimer before each episode and the TV14 (the U.S.A.) & 15 (the U.K.) rating.

Children under the age of 14 or 15 should not watch the show due to violence, sexual content & language. They do of course but they shouldn't.

it really depends on how mature the 11 year old is because im thirteen and i have watched Family Guy since about 10 and i love it. personally i think it is entirely up to the parents but if they trust their kids and think they wont repeat any of the bad language or behavior then they should let their kids have fun and im sure the parents will get some praise for it if they do.

hope i helped.

no, its not made for kids, its rated 15 for a reason, just cos its animated does not automatically mean its only for children. Why not try being a responsible adult and veto something before you decide if it is suitable for your own kids.

Of course they are physically capable of watching it, the question you mean is "should they watch it?" and the answer is No, they shouldn't.

That's why it's rated (in the U.S.) as TV14.

That is subjective, as different people have different ideas of what is appropriate in any given situation. But I think only very conservative parents would find The Simpsons inappropriate for their children.

The show has always been geared towards both children and adults: to children, it's a cartoon, while for adults, it's satire. It's not really an "adult cartoon" like South Park, Family Guy, or Aqua Teen Hunger Force: it lacks the graphic cartoon violence and the blatant drug and sexual content that these shows have. What "adult content" The Simpsons has is subtle enough to go straight over kids' heads, so that only adults will get the jokes.

However, in the beginning, the show was not nearly as popular among parents. When the show first came out in 1989, my brother and I weren't allowed to watch it because my mom thought it was too racy and that Bart was a bad influence. But by 1993 or 1994 she was watching it with us. Of course we were also a little older by that time. In 1989 I was 6 and my brother was 2; by 1993 I was 10 and he was 6.

I don't think kids should be allowed to watch Family Guy. There is a lot of sexual behavior, as well as violence and profanity. When children watch things like this, they will pick up the actions, and start doing them theirselves.

No. Children under the age of 14 should not be allowed to watch the show. It is very inappropriate, and intended for mature audiences.

I wouldn't recomend it for young children Of course it is, naturally it depends on your age but it's rated TVPG so in it generally appropriate for almost all ages.

Yes, the shows main target audience is young children. While it will not teach them any valuable skills it will do no long term harm.
