The world's most powerful in music released a conclusion on who is the only queen of pop. According to all history info madonna is the only queen of pop. If there are any doubts that madonna is still the queen of pop, billboard magazine just put those to rest yesterday. The singer who is currently on her record-breaking mdna tour, was declared the winner of the first-half mvp prize, beating out upstart boy band one direction.

The music industry doesn't label Lady Gaga with a status that high. The only people you hear about that are mentioned, called and treated like a "Pop Queen" in the music industry are people like:

• Madonna

• Britney Spears

• Janet Jackson

• Mariah Carey

• Whitney Houston

Some pop newcomer who took nearly three years to achieve her first debut number one album, that doesn't even have a star on the walk of fame, and hasn't even sold anywhere near as many records as any of the artists that are recognised and credited with this title, is not what you call a "Pop Queen." Her overall success and impact can not be compared to these five artists either. She can work her way to this status though, but it will take time. The people who like to credit her as the Queen of Pop are her "monsters" aka fans. Its fine to say she's "MY" Queen of Pop, but to say she's America's or the World's Queen of Pop is incorrect by a mile a stone!

Britney has 2 Diamond albums. She has over 100 million Albums sold worldwide by 2010. Over 100 million videos Worldwide by 2012 or 2013 all RIAA certified, this is all in the midst of the download era.

Britney also holds 6 Guiness world Records.

1) Best-selling album by a teenage solo artist

2) Best-selling teenage artist of all time

3) Fastest most no. 1 in UK chart

4) 5th Best Selling Female Artist In Music History

5) Most Searched Person (2008)

6) Youngest Female Artist To Have Six Of Her Albums Reach #1 On The Music Charts 2011)

So if any other female music artist can make that claim, be my guest.

Also, some people want to make Britney the Queen of POP, however, it would be nice, I think Madonna, MJ, and Janet have had a great influence on Britney to make her who and what she is today. So Madonna will always be the undisputed Queen, (even Britney doesn't want the title of Queen), if anything they share the crown, MJ the undisputed King and Britney is the undisputed Crowned Princess of POP. Lady Gaga, well, it's not Queen Gaga is it? Her influence is Madonna and Prince. Just because you say you're Queen does'nt make it so. It is a title you earn and that is not is by record sales or box office receipts.
