We don't learn a lot about that in Twilight. In New Moon and Eclipse, we learn that as long are vampires live nearby, there will be werewolves. Jacob tells Bella that he will not age for a long time, simply because there is a need to werewolves. However, when vampires leave and Jacob is able to exercise a great amount of control and not make the change, he will resume the aging process.
In short, no, he is not immortal, but as long as he changes into his werewolf form, he will not age.
Yes Jacob is really native in the Twilight books.
No one killed Jacob Black in Twilight.............or in any of the other movies.
In the Twilight series, books 1-4 ( twilight, new moon, eclipse, and breaking dawn), the character "Jacob Zimmerman" does not exsist. Jacob Black is a character in the Twilight series, but never dies in books 1-4.
He is 16.

Jacob didn't die :/
****NEW MOON SPOILER!!****Yes Jacob is going to become a werewolf. The Quileute's have many legends of whom they are decended from...Jacob finds out that those legends, are actually true. Jacob becomes a part of the werewolf pack along with Sam Uley, Seth Clearwater, Leah Clearwater, Quil Atarea, Paul, Jared, Embry Call, Brady, Collin,...Answer!Although Jacob does become a werewolf it doesnt exactly mean he is immortal!any twilight super fan (such as myself) would know that if jacob, for some reason, would want to start growing old again he could! All he would have to do was stop shifting for a time and eventually he would grow old again so techincally he doesn't become immortal.
