yes. but there were probably only a few of white people trying to get famous before him and during his time of being famous. but if you really want to get technical it could be vanilla ice with the hit single ice ice baby.

Currently...NO...there are other "white" rappers such as Bubba Sparxxx and Paul Wall that are mainstream right now.

There are plenty such as Marly Mark, Vanilla Ice, Third Base, Beastie Boys, and House of Pain(Everlast), plus a host of others you could consider white rappers like Beck and Blondie.

Now "rappers" such as Snow or Collie Budz are not really rappers, but speak the language of Patois, although they get pooled in the white rapper category unfortunately.

I'll admit Eminem is probably the fastest rapper, in all, but he isn't the best rapper. The reasons why I think Eminem isn't the best rapper are because

1. He curses way too much;
2. His raps are almost always about sex and violence; and last
3. He encourages bad things like drugs, alcohol, sex before marriage, and violence.
