SANDY DENNIS: A 1960's American actress who made her film debut in the critically acclaimed movie "Up The Down Staircase", portraying a high school teacher. Ms. Dennis made a few more film appearances after this well-received effort, and then she apparently 'disappeared' from major motion pictures. This is the Sandy Dennis of whom I am aware.
