In the book twilight why did the cullen's choose forks to live in?

they chose forks to live in because its a really rainy place and there isn't very much sun there, so the vampires were fine for going out a lot without having their problem with the sunlight on their skin.

twilight was filmed in forks, Washington because that is where the whole story takes place. for the first movie the director wanted everything to be as real as possible. so, she filmed in the place where the movie/books are set.

Bella moved to forks because her mom got re married and Phil plays baceball for a living he travles alot renee stayed home withh Bella but she knew it made her mom un happy so she decised to go to forks and spend some time with her dad so renee could travle with Phil

Because her mums new husband Phil plays minor league Baseball and he cant get signed to a team in Phoenix and because she was in school they didn't want to move her but that meant her mum was away from Phil often and it was making her sad so Bella sent her self to live with her dad. Bella wasn't made, or sent as you worded it, to live with Charlie. It was her own, independent decision to move to Forks with her Dad.

And the reason why is since her Mum (Mom as the books said) and her, plus her stepdad Phil, were moving around a lot because he plays minor league baseball and he has to travel to get the games. Bella didn't like to move around, and her Mum didn't want her to get lonely when staying, her Mum stayed with her. Bella noticed that her Mum was unhappy, so she decided to move in with her Dad for a while. But as we all know, this becomes permantant... Bella meets her dangerous soul mate.

They have to move about every five to ten years before people start noticing that they don't age. That would be quite a scandal if everyone found out that they were vampires.
