No. Actually, the story started out as nothing more than a writing exercise Stephen King did. He said that every writer should write at least one haunted hotel story, and "1408" is what he himself came up with.
Its not bad.....got a good story...bout a new teacher who takes this group of gang kids who are in school and finds a way to really connect with them using the holocaust to relate to them amd get them interested in the world. Also gives um a journal to write anything they want in....the compiled list of journals is what the book freedom writers is about. Some of it is pretty scary stuff taking into account these kids are freshmen in high school... I wont ruin the whole movie but its based on real story.
To make money $$$$$$. Idiot.
Some good summaries of the movie 'The Ant Bully can be found on the 'IMDb' website and on the Wikipedia. If one is attempting to write a good summary for 'The Ant Bully', the summary should be kept brief, accurate and most essentially, one must include a cliffhanger. Note that a summary is simply a description of the narrative, which does not mean to write out the whole story plot. There are some guides available online for one to use, such as 'Just About Write Article Archives'.

A movie is actually just a story that can be physically seen in the end product. The decision of which to write all depends on the writer. If the writer is better at or more enjoys dialogue and being able to actually see their product, a movie would be the better option. However, if the author enjoys the challenge of creating the visual themselves and possibly having less dialogue, the story would be a wiser choice.
Stephen King's friend who got hit by a train was named Donald Edwin Noyce. King was inspired to write a short story titled "The Body" after Noyce's death, which later became the basis for the movie "Stand by Me."
You write all short stories the same way: plant your butt in a chair and get started! Don't think about making a movie - just write the best short story that you can write, and maybe someone will buy it and turn it into a movie. If you try to write what you THINK people want to see in a movie, it'll fail because movie directors are always looking for something new instead of what's popular at the moment.
