Jack plays a big part in bullying Piggy, the most disadvantaged boy on the island. At one stage he says, "Shut up, fatty!" (pg. 20) hence, whenever Piggy tried to speak, Jack would try to shut him up. Jack, represents evil and violence, and because of his 'rebellious' personality, this makes him want to break the law and order that was first seen on the island at the beginning of the book. He will not let anything get in his way - whether it be Simon, representing truth, or Ralph, who tries to keep the law and order on the island. At one of the meetings, he yells, "Bollocks to the rules!" and "We don't need the conch anymore - we know who should say things!"He is rude to the other boys, and is always telling them what to do, for example when killing Simon, chants "Kill the beast! Cut its throat! Bash him in!"
Hope this helps :)

I have the answer!
Yes, Jack is older than Ralph in "Lord of the Flies." Jack is described as being bigger and more commanding compared to the other boys on the island, including Ralph.
Jack Paar
One quote from Jack painting faces in "Lord of the Flies" is: "We'll have to look like we fought for it" (Golding, 63). This shows Jack's belief in the importance of appearance and deception. Additionally, "He capered toward Bill, and the mask was a thing on its own, behind which Jack hid, liberated from shame and self-consciousness" (Golding, 64) highlights how the mask allows Jack to embrace his savage instincts.
jack overcomes Ralph by making his own group of people and being the leader of his group
The first actual 'evidence' that the boys have other than what they claim to have seen is Simon's dead body and when Jack, the majority of the boys leader at the time said that Simon was the beast.

Jack could represent the pig's head, and the flies could represent Jack's followers, how they are practically "swarming" around him.
Jack never died
One quote showcasing Ralph's leadership in 'Lord of the Flies' is, "We can do without Jack Merridew. Thereโs others besides him on this island." This highlights his ability to prioritize the group's well-being over personal conflicts. Additionally, Ralph's efforts to maintain the signal fire symbolize his commitment to maintaining a sense of order and hope among the boys.
