The Motion Picture Association of America defines the 'R' rating as:
R - Restricted. Children Under 17 Require Accompanying Parent or Adult Guardian. An R-rated motion picture, in the view of the Rating Board, contains some adult material. An R-rated motion picture may include adult themes, adult activity, hard language, intense or persistent violence, sexually-oriented nudity, drug abuse or other elements, so that parents are counseled to take this rating very seriously. Children under 17 are not allowed to attend R-rated motion pictures unaccompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Parents are strongly urged to find out more about R-rated motion pictures in determining their suitability for their children. Generally, it is not appropriate for parents to bring their young children with them to R-rated motion pictures.
M rated movies dont need a parent or guardian, MA rated movies need an adult to accompany a child under 15.
to watch M rated movies most people say that there's no age you just need to be mature and others say you need to be 10 or over just to be sure only watch an M rated movie if you are 10 or over AND if you are mature
Yes as long as they have a parent with them. Most movie theaters I'm assuming wont stop or not allow a child to see a Mature or R Rated movie.
US actor Tom Skerritt is 84 years old (birthdate: August 25, 1933).He appeared in movies such as M*A*S*H* and Top Gun.
It's rated M.
I dont really know if their are movies that are rated M. Only games, but if there is than probably not.
no, it's for 15 and older but some M rated movies like Harry Potter are fine for kids but movies like Scream are not, 2 fast 2 furious are not fine for all kids!
Yes they can as long as the parent is okay with it too.
Depends on the country, M ratings are usually for games and television and are for 17+, but R is used for movies, theatre, etc. and it is 18+.
17 years old
no it is M so only if ur allowed to watch M rated movies my brother is 5 and he watched it
There's no such thing as an m rated movie. That's video games. For video games you have to get a parent to tell the sales person it okay but yes. And movies theres Not Rated, G, PG, PG-13 and R. I'm also 13 and your not supposed to watch rated R movies but if your parents okay it and are fine with it yeah. But always check with them first.
The rating M stands for mature 18 and older. So you can only watch it if your parents think it is appropriate for you and it is not in a public theater.
M rated movies dont need a parent or guardian, MA rated movies need an adult to accompany a child under 15.
Ask your parents, then they'll tell you if they think its okay or not.
There is no "M" rating for movies, only for video games. Transformers was rated PG-13
Mostly movies on television are rated M for Mature rather than R. I'm guessing the main reason would be the lack of ability to get them rated by a certain company or business.
