It's doubtful even Flair can answer this question accurately. Flair started Wrestling in the early 70's for the American Wrestling Association (AWA), and moved into the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in the mid 70's. By his own estimation that he has stated in interviews, during the height of his time as World Champion in the NWA between 1981-1986 Flair wrestled over 360 times per year. Before their were live weekly TV broadcasts the wrestling companies would tape their TV shows and to save on costs of transporting production equipment all over the country they would often tape matches and segments for multiple TV episodes at one arena show, meaning it was common for wrestlers like Flair to wrestle as many as three times at one show.

Flair also routinely took bookings with companies other than the NWA up until 1986 as long as it did not interfere with his NWA obligations. This meant that during time that he ordinarily would have been off he was in fact wrestling. Flair was one of the biggest attractions in Japan in the 1980's and wrestled their regularly. For awhile he accepted booking in South America, and still appeared at AWA shows in the 1980's as well.

Flair easily would have wrestled over 3,000 matches in the 1980's alone at that pace, although by 1986 NWA head Jim Crockett Jr restricted Flair's outside bookings. Still, by his estimation he easily wrestled over 200 matches per year from 1986-1988, before taking time off in 1989.

Flair wrestled sporadically in the 1990's, although the travel schedules, particularly in World Championship Wrestling (the company born out of TV mogul Ted Turner's purchase of NWA from Crockett in 1988) were less than they were in the 1980's. During his last run in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Flair did not wrestle a full time schedule (200 matches per year). He made regular appearances on TV shows and pay per view events, often as a manager to other wrestlers where he himself did not have to perform in the ring. He would periodically through out the year wrestle a full time schedule, including non televised house show events, for stretches of time, two to four months often, when involved in a high profile story line or when WWE officials needed a boast to their event attendance. Best estimates are he was wrestling in actual matches somewhere around 50-70 times per year from 2005-2008, but making many more appearances on TV and pay per view.

Did ric flair ever beat hogan?

Flair actually won the first ever mach between them, a WWE Title match in Dayton, OH in 1991. The decission was by count-out. The basic script for their series of matches in 1991 in WWE was for Flair to pin Hogan, appearing to win the title, only to have the decission reversed on a technicality due to Flair's rulebreaking. Flair beat Hogan by count-out in their televised Clash Of Champions TV Special match in August, 1994. Hogan was injured in the story line leading up to that encounter. Flair pinned Hogan in a Jan 1996 match on Monday Nitro TV program, believed to be the first time Hogan was pinned in a non pay per view match since 1988 (when he was pinned by Andre The Giant in the main event of a NBC TV Special). Flair defeated Hogan for the WCW title in March 1999 in a Steel Cage match.
