Anakin then realizes that if he lost Palpatine, his hopes to save his wife Padme would be lost. He then goes to the Chancellor's quarters and sees Mace Windu ready to finish Palpatine off. Anakin then activates his lightsaber and cuts Windu's arm off. Palpatine then shocks Windu with force lightning and throws Windu out the window leading him to his death. I think he died that way, but they say George Lucas will make episodes 7, 8, and 9. It also says that Mace Windu will actually die then.
