1000 watts is not twice as loud as 500 watts, that is the first myth to break. But 1000 watts will sound superior because of something called headroom. The best way to think of it is in relation to room size. 1000 watts will not rock Glastonbury but it will do serious damage in a pub or medium to large hall.
First off, they are very loud. Seen them thirteen times (a lot of people have seen them far more times than me) but I think I have a good idea how loud they are. The thing is with Motorhead is that it is not just the volume, it's the overall sound of the band. They don't really have a bass sound, all middle, very distorted. With the volume and that distorted sound they made my ears ring far more than any other band I've ever seen. (Head on pillow in hotel and that tinitus sound that won't go away.) Metallica were loud but not in the same way. The closest in volume to Motorhead oddly enough was Hawkwind years ago(Late 1980's ) at Hammy Odeon. The sound thumped through me, really thumping, but again they didn't have that distorted sound (The violin hurt my ears). Summery: Motorhead are very loud but the distorted sound adds to the ear damage.
The term 'croon a dong' simply means for one to hum a deep loud sound. The term dong is a Vietnamese word for describing a deep sound. The word croon means to hum loudly.
Decibels are really more a measure of sound level. 65 decibels would be about the level of normal conversation or laughter.
If you want your "moan" to sound sext dont make it sound very loud. You dont want to scare him off or sound like a cow (no offense). Moan quietley because it will get him more attracted to you.
Its not meant to be scary but they have to make it very loud and unusual to get peoples attention. Even though its not meant to be scary i agree with u that it is
If were talking power amp. 75 watts would be just enough for a fair home stereo sound system and good for a normal car stereo. The high end sound system in cars are sometimes over 100 watts.
That's the sound of the Earth disintegrating.
The use of a sound system is so you can play your ipod out loud
Enough to fill medium size room with sound with one or two persons on it.
100 watts is great, 150 watts may be too loud for some, and there is higher watt amplifiers made.
The loud noise is probably attributable to a bad exhaust system.
That depends on what speakers or headphones the 6 watts is playing into. Watts is a measure of power, not of loudness.
a loud speaker and for no sound it is a loud speaker with a cross on it
LOud.
It depends on your distance from the speakers and the size of the room, but generally I would say VERY loud. I have a 50 Watt system in my dorm room and I get complaints if I turn it up more than halfway.
the loud sound damages to the hearings cells of the ear
As loud as sound would be normally.
