American Pie. ALL it means is there is additional footage added to or taken away from the theatrical version. The additional footage could be 5 minutes of topless women dancing around or 5 minutes of fully clad dudes singing Yankee Doodle Dandy. Extra content in any form gets it the unrated because it is different than the version that received the rating.
