There he battled someone he thought was frieza but was actually his ancestor. Angered by the loss of his comrades and his incapability to do anything when frieza so called destroyed planet vegeta and him, he turned into a super saiyan.He then defeated the ancestor known as chilled(I don't know why all there names resemble something cold) the planet plant(race that invented the healing liquid)
