In the series of comics, Star Wars: Obsession, Ventress is apparently killed in a duel by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker; as she's dying, she tells Kenobi she is finally letting go of her anger, and that Kenobi may have been right about her. At that, she seems to finally die, and Kenobi orders her body to be placed on a medical shuttle.
It turns out she was using a Sith trance, healing herself while taking on the characteristics of death. After the shuttle took off, she woke from her trance, and told the pilots to take her as far as possible from the Jedi, from Dooku, and from the war. The pilots complied, and her fate after that is unknown. Given that she doesn't seem to resurface as a Dark Jedi later on, and no mention of her having an effect on the storyline is made, it can be assumed she lived out the rest of her life naturally. Whether or not she actually had let go of her anger and pain is another thing :P

TaigaActually, Asajj Ventress hasn't died yet from what we know. During a battle on Boz Pity, Obi-Wan Kenobi was trying to bring Asajj Ventress to the light side of the Force, for he learned that she was not evil: she was mislead because of horrible childhood events that happened to her. But when Ventress was about to kill Obi-Wan, she received a life-threatening wound from Anakin Skywalker. Asajj then realized that Obi-Wan was right about her and she seemingly died in Obi-Wan's arms. But she faked her death by going into a death-like trance to heal her wound. She then disappeared, wishing to be free of the Jedi, the Clone Wars, and of Count Dooku. Where she went to is still currently unknown
