Piggy never reveals his real name to anybody. When he first met Ralph he said, "I don't care what they call me.... So long as they don't call me what they used to call me at school." he eventaully adds, "They used to call me Piggy." He probably hoped that Ralph would then ask, "What is your real name then?" However Ralph wasn't sufficiently interested in him to bother asking.

This was in the start of the book and everything was new and exciting. When Piggy tells Ralph that they call him Ralph stands on his head and laughs. Piggy has him promise not to tell anyone and Ralph before the group introduces him as Piggy. and he behaves excitmently
