     Add some moisture to the film on your granite by sprinkling or spraying it with small amounts of water.

     Create a solution of 2 tablespoons of peroxide and 1 cup of flour to attempt to remove any oily film with a simple homemade poultice.

     Add the poultice to the an small area of the film on your granite to see if it will work before applying to the entire area. The thickness of the poultice should be about ¼ an inch high.

     Poke some holes in a sheet of plastic wrap and place it over the poultice. Use painter's tape to secure the edges of the plastic wrap. Leave it alone for about two days.

     Remove the dried poultice after two days with a non-metal spatula. Wipe down the granite with a dry cloth. Check to see if the film is gone. If it is, apply the homemade poultice over the entire area of granite.

     Mix together a new poultice solution if the stain remains. This time, you will need a specific poultice product such as diatomaceous earth, powdered chalk, or whiting. You'll need 1 lb. of the material for every foot of granite, with a cup of baking soda to help remove the film. Apply and remove the same way you did with the original poultice.
