I hate to be so blunt on it... There is an excellant plushie tutorial on DeviantART. I hate to say that I ca't exactly remember what their name was but if you search "anime plushie tutorial" I think it should pop up. It is a pretty professional loking tutorial too! Hope it helps! ^^;

It should be relatively easy to put together a Hello Kitty costume for your little girl.
