Although Beorn is a solitary creature, he makes The Party welcome when they pass through his area in their travels. Despite liking things his own way, Beorn was a gracious host, providing food, drink and respite for the travelers.

He is suspicious of strangers because they could turn on him and/or be afraid of him since he is a shapeshifter.
