Well basically, in the FD3 choose their fate, it isn't much of a difference from their original deaths:
(In order)
Jason and Carrie: Same deal, died on the roller coaster.
Ashley and Ashlyn are electrocuted in a deleted scene. Ashley lies in her bed screaming as the temperature rises, but Ashlyn manages to get out, only to get whacked in the head by the wood. Ashley struggles to get free, but can't until Ashlyn wakes back up. When Ashlyn grabs Ashley's hand, the bed breaks and instead of a fire igniting, Ashley is electrocuted by the current.
Frankie: He was saved at the drive through by Kevin, and was thrown into jail for sexual harassment.
Lewis: His head is crushed by the weights after he shouts "**** death! I just win! That's all I know how to do Kevin! Baby I just win!"
Erin: In the alternate scene, Ian does not kill the pigeon with the nail gun, therefore the pigeon flies at Erins face and she swats at it-causing her to slip on the saw dust. Her head hits the nail gun, and she dies when the 12 nails go through her head and her hand.
Perry: Same death as before, by the flagpole.
Ian: If you make him take the opposite step, his body is fully crushed by the cherry picker, the only remains are blood chunks and what not.
Julie: Impaled by the train wheel in the vision.
Kevin: Grated by the tunnel walls and the train when the window he was pushed against cracks and sends him out.
Wendy: Somehow surviving the crash, she remains on the tracks unable to move. It is then shown that a train slams into her right before the vision ends.
It is unsure if the remaining three survivors (Julie, Kevin and Wendy) survive or not.

Final Destination is a combination of the paranormal and fatalism. Both of said topics are unscientific. Premonitions, while people have claimed to have experienced them, have not yet been proven. Fatalism is a philosophical belief that everything is planned out for you in advanced. If you hide from your fate, fate will still find you.
No one but God knows anyone's final destination, it is not our place to judge another or decide what God's decision is of their final fate. We can only learn from these tragic events and pray and commend her soul to the mercy of God.
It is rumored to be titled "Choose Your Fate"
We choose what we want to be or want to have, and not rely on fate to do it for us. In another quote it means "Life is what we make it". PEOPLE CAN CHOOSE WHAT HAPPENS THOUGH OUT LIFE, BUT THE GUILT OF WHAT WAS DONE THOUGH THE JOURNEY STAY WITH THEM FOR EVER
they would try to run away if they knew their true fate

This is a puzzling question, and I'm left guessing what you mean. When and how might America have had the opportunity or desire to 'choose Germany's fate'? Are you, perhaps, thinking of the Treaty of Versailles (1919)?
No. It has a long A sound as in date and fate. The final E is silent.
Yes and no, a convicted person can either choose to be heard by a judge or jury. That means by what ever you choose either the judge will decide your fate or the jury will decide your fate. in some cases only a judge can decide what happens to you.
