Edward Cullen kills Victoria in The Eclipse book. It happens in Chapter 24, Snap Decision. Edward, Seth and Bella are hiding out in the woods while the other Cullen family members fight the new born vampire army at home.
Victoria and her newbie vamp, Riley, find them. Edward attempts to show Riley that he is being used by Victoria...but Riley doesn't believe it. A fight ensues and Riley is killed by Seth. Riley comes to realize Victoria is just using him just moments before his death. Edward and Victoria continue to battle it out.
This battle sequence shows us more of that "Selfless" side that Bella has. She thinks about an old Quileute story about the 3rd wife. It's a legend about a human wife who sacrificed herself for the rest of the tribe.
With Riley dead, Edward and Victoria fight to the end, when Edward kills her by removing her head.

Victoria first loved Julian (Edwards brother) but Julian started having alcohol problems so Victoria sticked to Edward and started a relationship with him. Some time passed and Julian had changed and Victorias and Edwards relationship became very bad so Victoria sticked again to Julian but when Edward heard about the secret relationship he killed both Victoria and Julian and put a note in Julians pocket which made everyone think that Julian killed Victoria and himself. he detached her head, tared apart the body, and burned the pieces. That's how to kill any vampire.
No Edward fights over Victoria
Victoria, the crazy vampire, wants to kill Bella in Eclipse because Edward killed her mate, James, in Twilight. But, Victoria gets killed in Eclipse. Laurent, who didn't help try and kill Bella in Twilight, comes back with Victoria in New Moon. Laurent informs Bella that Victoria is angry, and he said, that it would be just easier if he just killed her, right there, in the forest. Bella began to tremble, of the fright that Edward, still gone, after leaving her, wasn't there to protect her. Then, she saw Laurent's eyes widen, and he saw the wolf pack- which her former best friend, Jacob Black, was now a part of because he was now a werewolf. The werewolf pack killed Laurent, leaving Victoria alone and angrier than ever, thinking that Laurent left them in the race to kill Bella earlier, in Twilight.
No, Edward kills Victoria after they fight. Jacob and the other wolves do help the Cullens attack the other newborn vampire army that Victoria raised.
Both Victoria and Laurent were chasing her but Laurent found her first.-Laurent was scouting out forks "as a fovor to Victoria" when Bella happened upon him while he was hunting. It was never his intention to hunt her down face to face or kill her. He was just there to find out if the Cullens were still protecting her. He did want to kill Bella after he ran into her as she is "so mouthwatering" but he never chased her. He was chased away from her by the wolves and in turn killed.
Victoria dies.. trying to kill Bella (protected by Edward and the rest of the vampires and werewolves) for revenge of killing her boyfriend, James.
