The order in which the movies came out: Manhunter (not part of the series, it's the old version of Red Dragon). Silence of the lambs 1991 Hannibal 2001 Red Dragon 2002 Hannibal Rising 2007 Here is their chronological order: Hannibal Rising Red Dragon Silence Of The Lambs Hannibal
In chronological order (not the dates release, but the time that the movies took place in his life) are as follows:1. Hannibal Rising (2007) 2. Manhunter (1986) & Red Dragon (2002) (Both based off the same book) 3. Silence of the Lambs (1991) 4. Hannibal (2001)
Prequel. Although I'm not sure you can technically call it a prequel, since they are two completely different stories that have nothing to do with each other. A "prequel" usually depicts what led up to the events in the original movie, but the events in Red Dragon have absolutely nothing to do with the events in The Silence of the Lambs. But the events in Red Dragon are supposed to take place before the events in The Silence of the Lambs. In the last lines of Red Dragon, either Dr. Chilton or Barney (I can't remember which but I'll check later) says something like, "There's a female FBI agent here to see you. Should I tell her to go away?" and Dr. Lector asks, "What's her name?" Presumably, Clarice Starling is her name.
5/Five: (1. Manhunter (2. Silence of the Lambs(3. Hannibal (4. Red Dragon (Remake of Manhunter) (5. Hannibal RisingActually there are 4 of them, Manhunter is not the official remake of Hannibal.
The duration of The Red Dragon is 1.03 hours.
