Yes Eminem has a criminal history. He was arrested June 3, 2000 for an altercation with Douglass Dail at a store where he also brandished an unloaded gun. The next day he assaulted John Guerrera, a bouncer, after he saw his wife kiss him. He received two years of probation for both incidents.

He also was charged Summer 2001 after an altercation with an Psychopathic Records employee where he pulled a weapon. This resulted in a fine of $2000 and community service hours.

No, he's never served prison time. His arrest for his involvement in a drive-by shooting at age 20 - that was with a paintball gun. He had an altercation in 2003 where he pulled out an unloaded gun and kept it pointed towards the ground. The day after, he was arrested for assaulting his wife. He received two years of probabtion.

He has had other legal troubles, but nothing which caused him to serve any prison time, and certainly not any murder charges.
