Well, JK is not a wizard, so definitely not in that aspect.

She spent 5 years planning to write the series before she started writing them. I'm sure some of the NON-magical events are loosely based on her life, but I don't think a particular person was the base for Harry Potter.

Voldemort would represent the devil, while Dumbledore is more the all-knowing Jesus, who leads his followers to safety, even after death.

There is also the many literary theories that relate to the Harry Potter series. Here's one:

Archetypal would argue that the entire theme of the books is meant to show the light and dark areas of life; death, destruction, murder and betrayal, vs. loyalty, honor, life, and friends.

It's really up to your imagination, though. You can relate anything to anything if you can find the right way of saying it.
