∙ 12y agoNO! he never loved kallen.. he likes kallen because of her abilities and other wise because she is zero's servant.. maybe he loved her as a friend but not as a girlfriend.. He's True Love is C.C... it is secretly shown in some episodes..
I'd rather have Kallen and Lelouch get together than C.C and Lelouch. I hate C.C.
New Edit: On what I have gained from watching all the episodes and seeing if Lelouch had any love interest at all, he didn't. He may have faked his care or even have cared for some of the characters but it seemed that he never took them into consideration. The three girls, C.C, Kallen, and Shirley were only extras in his plans, no love intrest in them.
Lelouch and Kallen? Are you kidding? Lelouch and Shirley? Of course, NO! But Lelouch and CC? How nice! You're so smart. Lelouch and CC forever, and ever, and ever, and ever!

∙ 12y agoEdit #2: Even if Lelouch shows some signs of caring for Kallen it is never stated if he was in love with her or not. THrough out the show he may have cared for some certain people deeper than he expexted but to fall in love, he hardly did.
Edit#1: i can tell that lelouch is really in love with kallen from the way they kissed together it shows so much passion,he even closed his eyes, it's like a sweet surrender.what makes it confusing is that he don't show feelings to her but he choose to be silent for he knew that if he'll say his feelings kallen's life might be in danger and he doesn't want that to happen.
It also shows that kallen is the strength that lelouch have to be able to go forward.

he might have died but some say he is alive....it does not state he ended up with kallen or c.c. but it did show in the end c.c. traveling with a mysterious stranger whether its for companionship or for her true feelings we will never know...

Remember how Lelouch asks Shirley about whether he should arrange a marriage between the Chinese Empress or not? She told him love makes you dedicate a lot more resources to a project or endeavour than you usually would.
When Kallen was captured, Lelouch made some very weird combat decisions, which almost cost him dearly, just because he desperately wanted to get her back.
But did he love Kallen the most? Impossible to say.
I say he love CC most...
Not to include Nunnally...

However, Lelouch's relationship with the female characters of the show has always been a bit unstable, C.C., Kallen and Shirley could all be considered possible love interests for him. In the end, I think he did love her, but did he love her the most/enough to choose her, if it had come to it? I don't think so. Yes, I think Lelouch loved Shirley but it is temporary love because his true love is CC...

While Lelouch's feelings may be hard to interpret thus left up for debate, it is a strong opinion (mine as well) that he did love C2. Lelouch was in entangled in the Zero Requiem to be romantically involved with anyone, however just because this fact is true doesn't mean that he didnt feel anything as he was still human. there are going to be the Kallen fans who disagree with my next statement but i believe he loved C2 because he could relate more with her, and she was with him every step of the way. *Spoilers* Pending the biggest debate on the last scene of Code Geass, IF Lelouch really is alive, and that was him in front of the wagon, then this should strongly imply that Lelouch and C2 end up together, as Kallen is no where in the picture (not evening knowing he is alive) and Lelouch and C2 simply seem to be traveling together, this is all of course pending that he is alive. However even if he is not that this still suggests some feelings on C2s part, as she cried in the chapel when he was "killed". Also when she was defeated by Kallen in the final battle, Kallen asked her if she was in love with Lelouch, and instead of simply denying it, she answered i don't know, leaving strong suggestions that she is or was falling in love with Lelouch

And i want to add that Lelouch also said that he will never allow his father to acquire someone who's important to him. The other proof is on Episode 16, it is the time when Lelouch accidentally hurt CC, when CC's finger started to bleed, Lelouch was worried to her, the proof that Lelouch did not want CC to get hurt. Also, there was a time when Lelouch confess his problems to CC, the time when he was an emperor, actually, he always confess his problems to CC. Unlike to Shirley.... Another proof is at Episode 24 R2, Lelouch will go near to CC when Kallen intrude, and when CC ask Lelouch to go, Lelouch says to CC that he will come back, isn't that romantic? So I say that Lelouch love CC more than he love Shirley.
