So far, Sasuke hasn't returned, but acording to the manga, he has claimed to want to become Hokage. He joins in with the fight and team 7 is reborn. If he does stick with his plans, he has a high chance he will come back to the Leaf Village, by his free will, nonetheless.
My guess is that he will end up going back to the Leaf Village, but what happens to him then, I don't have a clue. He could be put in jail and interrogated, or he could actually end up being Hokage. But with everyone's reactions where he makes the statement of wanting to become Hokage, they won't let his past actions slide easily, so he may have trouble if he returns.
