Well as shown now tobi is not madara. However there is no way tobi could be obito cause at the time where the nine tails attacked kakashi was still young and tobi was way older when he fought minato. I dont get why people are not using their brains cause that is a proof that tobi is not obito.

(Correcting some of the original answer) Hopefully people have noticed that tobi has the same letters in it as Obito, plus tobi only has a sharingan on his right side. i think that tobi is also madara as well. my hypotheses is that when the rocks caved in on Obito, Madara took the chance to take his body thus creating tobi; half obito half madara.

Tobi IS NOT Obito, When Tobi fights Konan he uses the Sharingan in his LEFT side because he sacrifices the one in his right eye when he uses the izanagi. Then he has Nagato's rinnegan implanted to replace the one lost.

Alright listen up, Tobi Is Obito. Just after the explosion the Real Madara uchiha Found him and saved his life using a very ancient technique. straight after Obito thanked Madara and asked if he could Re-surface and Help his Villagei n the War. Obito set off and noticed Kakashi Plunging his sharingan into Rins Chest. Realising that there was no point in life without the girl he loved and the fact that Kakashi was the one who killed her... Obito returned to Madara and trained with him, at the point where Madara was finally dieing Madara useda technique simililar to the on Itachi used in his fight with Sasuke; Giving Obito all of his knowledge and memories and powers. Obito took up the alias of Tobi and took Madara's identity to keep his legacy going. -
