"Sweet" is the name of the band. They also did "Fox On The Run", another hit from the 1974 album "Desolation Boulevard". It was done by Sweet in 1975. There were actually 4 bands that performed "Ballroom Blitz." Sweet, Krokus, Blue Oyster Cult, and The Misfits The Buzzcocks also performed it. Like everyone else said, from The Sweet. But I really think it's THE Sweet. :)
Yes, in the movie Wayne`s World It was also in Daddy Daycare
Original Answer: Non-definite no. I downloaded the supposed cover a few times from different sources and they are all the same, the original song by Sweet. Really? I am pretty sure I used to have a copy of Meat Loaf's version alongside the Sweet version. It was definitely sung by Meat Loaf at some point, although his voice did sound a bit rough, which suggests the cover was made later in his career.

I believe the question is "Who performs 'Ballroom Blitz'"? The anwer is its a song by the British rock band The Sweet and the album is Desolation Boulevard.
You're a bit confused son, Ballroom Blitz is by the band "The Sweet", and it doesn't appear in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
"Ballroom Blitz" is a song written by Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman and originally recorded by the glam rock band Sweet. It was released as a single in 1975, where it reached number 1 in Australia and entered at number 2 in the UK singles chart but remarkably failed to go to number one. The song reached number 5 in the States and was one of that country's biggest hits of 1977. "Ballroom Blitz" appeared on the U.S. version of The Sweet's 1976 album Desolation Boulevard. "Ballroom Blitz" remains one of The Sweet's best-known songs and has been covered by a variety of artists.
I don't know of Krokus ever remaking that song but they did do a remake of "Ballroom Blitz" by Sweet.
