Supposedly. According to one of the forensics shows, one of the founders (whichever one it was that was around 6'5" or taller) was a scientist. He had gone to the airport to pick up a friend but, never got there. Enroute, he had spoken to his wife (on a car phone) and she said he sounded terrified and said he was in big trouble. They either hung up or the line went dead and he went missing for several years with no evidence of anything. Later, his van was found in a ravine with his skeletonized body in it. BUT, I can't find any evidence of the story anywhere since actually seeing the original show on, I believe, Unsolved Mysteries. Later, it was shown on the forensics show, then when the body was found, it was shown again.

The name 'Choji' means "butterfly" in japanese. It's kind of obvious if you watch Naruto and see Choji with butterflies. [SPOILER] Then when he uses his Butterfly Transformation after eating the red pill, he has butterfly wings. They disappear as butterflies too. Hope I helped. ^^
