Did Toby kill Alison in Pretty little liars?

In the books, he committed suicide after Emily freaked out on him and said "I know what you did!" He didn't have any clue that the girls thought he killed Ali. He thought Emily was saying that she knew that Toby had been touching his stepsister, Jenna. I'm only a little bit past 3/4 of the way through flawless but from what I saw on Yahoo apparently it was definitely Toby's body that they found in the woods behind Emily's house. So far they think that he OD's after Emily tells him that she knows what he did when really at that point only Spencer knew what he really did. He killed himself because he thought he was finally past all of the touching Jenna stuff but then he and Emily misunderstood each other and what happened so he was ashamed of himself but it's not what's happening in the show.

No, Toby is mostly innocent (except for sleeping with Jenna). Alison actually never dies. It is her twin sister Courtney who dies. Courtney, who is pretending to be Ali, gets killed by the real Ali.
