I don"t know about the movies, but the traditional theme song-always instrumental on the television Lassie- at least the Campbell Soup or Lockhart-Provost Lassie was always, at the end- they did not have an introductory themes song- Greensleeves, also known as What Child Is This, which is , of course a Christmas Song.
She was the mother on Lassie, Lost In Space and in 1 episode Branded
If you are referring to what gender Lassie was portrayed as on the show, Lassie was a female dog. However, the dogs that were used to play the character were actually male. This is because male collies have a thicker summer coat and producers thought the coat would air better on the television screen. Also, male dogs tend to be bigger then females, so the child who played Timmy would be able to work with the dog for a longer period of time before outgrowing him.
To the best of my knowledge no Oscar ( academy award) has ever been awarded to an Animal. Lassie was a Collie. several dogs, were of necessity, involved for different types of stunts- Lassie fighting a more dangerous animal was of course done with trick photography as were forest fire scenes, etc. the ASPCA would not permit the Dog to be in real life-threartening peril. preoccupation with downbeat subjects turned many adult viewers off. Lassie ( TV version- Provost-Lockhart) had overtones of situation tragedy- and the program was DEVOID of any humor, even wisecracks.
well yeah if you have got a cold . Otherwise i would advise you stay in bed.
