Gary sang in the bars around Tenerife about 4 years ago. Around the same time Colin Gibb played there as The Black Lace Show. I suspect, at some point, their paths crossed and they did some work together. It's a bit like the current batch of guys who go out as the Union Gap. The original band were from America and these guys are from around Birmingham. That's Birmingham UK not Birmingham Alabama!
I've been on stage with Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt but I don't think they'd like it if I claimed to be an ex member of status quo
