They didn't sing with him they just sang vocals for the songs. 2Pac was dead before Eminem was even famous. Eminem's first Album was Infinite 1996, the same year Pac died.

Well I don't believe that they were eminem didn't really get big until after tupac was gone, with saying that, tupac and dre were really good buds and they were under Murder inc (Suge Knight) and basically tupac and suge were buddies because suge rushed tupac to a hospital after he was shot one night in return tupac signed a deal to murder inc that included 2 albums, and ya basically tupac was about release the second album under murder inc and after that he was planning to leave with dre and start their own label and suge was scared of the competition obviously and losing all of the money from tupac, so it is said that suge killed tupac to not only crush the competition of dre and tupac's knew label but to keep all the money that is made off of tupacs albums, so obviously that pisses dre off, dre is best buds with em and they obviously roll in the same crew so no em feels the same way about suge that's why in "Like Toy Soldiers" eminem says "My intentions were good, I went my whole career without ever mentionin Suge" (and yes "Suge" is bleeped out so he still has not mentioned his name)

So bassically they would have been buddies if tupac was never killed because eminem would have been signed with dre and tupacs label.
