No he was in the game before Dre, but without Dre he would not have come this far.
Dr dre has founded many record companys but this is the one the made Eminem and 50 cent famous with out dr dre we wouldnt have the best rappers in the world..Aftermath Entertainment is an American record label founded by Dr. Dre. It operates as a subsidiary of, and is distributed through, Universal Music Group's Interscope Records. Current acts include Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent and Slim da Mobster, with former acts including Busta Rhymes, Game, Raekwon, Joell Ortiz, Rakim, Eve, Marsha Ambrosius, and Stat Quo. Sixteen out of the eighteen albums the label has released have been top 5 albums on the Billboard 200, having eleven of them peak at #1. The label boasts multi-platinum releases from Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and two diamond albums from Eminem.
he was kinda discovered in 1996 with his infinity album but then the slim shady lp HE WAS DISCOVERED AND FAMOUS by the way his slim shady lp album got 2 million albums sold the first two weeks I did not hear about him until 1998 with the Marshal Mathers L.P. which was instant success. The way I understand is that a radio friend that new of Eminem (or one of his pals) slipped a tape to someone that got it in front of Dr. Dre. As soon as Dre heard it the Dr. knew he had a champion in his midst and flew Eminem out to California. I am sure Slim Shady had much local success before this as he was well know for his skills as a battle rapper.
Though they had "beef" in the past. It is to be believed that they have set that aside and have put each of their amazing talent and put it together. They have been seen together at recording studios and also at benefit rapping concerts. Even though neither of them has put out a formal statement saying they are friends, it has been assumed by the media and all of their fans. (:
When Eminem was just a local artist he asked Insane Clown Posse if he could open up for them, He did it for 200$. Dr.Dre was at this show and this is how Em and Dre met. So obviously Dre would not have seen Eminem preform if it waznt for Shaggy and J ( ICP ). So a couple months or years ( i forget how long ) down the road Eminem is doing a show at Madison square garden. Insane Clown Posse walked up and said we will give you 200,000$ if you let us open up for you, Eminem said he had no idea who they were and to get out of his face, that let the beef> There is also i second theory behind the beef:Once again Eminem is only local, he was handing out fliers for a show that he was going to preform at, the flier said basic stuff like were, when all that stuff BUT at the bottom of the flier he had two names of other local Detroit Rap crews saying they were going to be their, One of which was ICP. And beside their name it read " Insane Clown Posse........Maybe " he walked up to violent J and Shaggy 2 dope and haded it to them and they got pissed because they diddnt like that he put their name on a flier and said maybe with out even talking to them. so they said they were not going to be their. Eminem got pissed and threw diss's at the crew, ICP responded with a remix song of my name is called slim anus. And it just went on and on.
Yes and no. Yes because they were both on the same song, a song they did for the Tech and Sway wake up show radio show which featured them and other rappers such as Xzibit, RZA and more, but they didn't actually record that song together. However, I say no because Eminem was meant to be on the My World song on Tech's Everready CD but it was around the time Eminem's best friend Proof (from D12) passed away so Tech decided he couldn't wait any longer on Em's verse and decided to put out the album without Em's verse. Eminem was supposed to be on it and they agreed to work together, so it's very possible something will come up again in the future. On another related note, Tech N9ne was taken off the "Thugs Get Lonely Too" song he was originally on with Tupac that was released on the "Loyal to the Game" album, which Eminem produced. Eminem chose to take off Tech N9ne and put Nate Dogg on instead.
