There is very little mention of female dwarves in any of his works. A few places in The Hobbit: Thorin lies to the Goblins and mentions going to visit relatives, including nieces. Fili and Kili were the son's of Thorin's sister, Dis.

The dwarven females are rarely talked about and even less rarely seen. It is said that even if you met one you probably would not know it as they look almost identical to the males, including beards.
