Polished concrete flooring is usually referred to as Indian Patent Stone (or IPS). It is generally done with cast-in-situ PCC(1:2:4) with coarse aggregate as 6-10mm granite chips.
PCC(1:2:4) is a well mixed combination of 1 part Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), 2 parts fine aggregate (sand) and 4 parts coarse aggregate (granite chips) with enough water to a workable consistency.
IPS is laid into alternate panels, generally staggered, of not more than 9m2 each to avoid shrinkage cracks on drying.
