Pros:

* It is open source. Meaning it's totally free; plus if you have the know-how, you can hack this software into doing anything you could think of via the open source code. * It's a decent piece of software, but refer to points #1 and #2 of the cons below. It was, however, admirable for its vision. * Might be okay, as long as you don't plan on doing anything too fancy outside of a picture, some text, and maybe some links on your website.

Cons:

* The biggest con about NVu is that NVu seems to have been abandoned by its developers. The project has been stalled for over 3 years now and contains many bugs that were never addressed because the software was (and is still) rather immature. * Although it has been compared to the likes of Adobe DreamWeaver CS3, I find this comparison extremely laughable. Some things are just better left to the professional (proprietary) software. If you're looking for a free, open source software, might I recommend KompoZer(link below); however, it is still rather incomparable to that of Adobe DreamWeaver CS3. Unlike NVu, KompoZer does have an active release cycle. * NVu is known to be extremely buggy, known to crash at the worst possible moments, and is known to corrupt your HTML. All of this is due to the lack of interest from its original developers as noted above.
