lol actually me and my friend had a good time with this one we took my thermamoter and light the Bic lighter and the thermo stat went around twice to a grand total of 300 degrees F it around 850 degrees F the only reason that the person above got 300 is because thermo stats have a spring inside that keeps it from going around several times. you would have to use one that goes to at least 1000 degrees F to get a accurate reading
