A simple way to figure it out is that one sering of ice cream is about 150 calories. (It will vary depending on the type, additions like nuts or Chocolate Chips and so on, and fat content.) This is 1/2 cup. There are 2 cups in a pint. This means the average ice cream has about 600 calories per pint.

"cream" and "ice cream" will have very different calorie counts, as ice cream has a substantial amount of sugar added. I thought the original post was referring to "cream".
