Any car is start; preferably a car that will start
when a sheriff knocks on your door and is armed with a court order to distraint your car
When a car will not start first check the battery then the gas. If the issue is not either of these call a mechanic.

You need to get a life first
you shouldn't drive a 95 neon
warm start is when your car has already been started an is hot, a cold start is wheen you have just started the car for the first time of the day, or month....
Well there are many different things that can go wrong with and engine and make them bad or "fried" as you put it. A few vague examples are: -If the engine is seized up it will not start. -If it does start up but knocking then it needs to be taken to a mechanic. Driving a car that knocks will only cause further damage. -A car with a blown head gasket will start and run usually but will overheat and cause further damage such as warping of the heads. If a car doesn't start it doesn't necessarily mean that the engine is "fried". There are many possibilities for why an engine will not start. Look up "no start" situations for the car make and model. Hope this helps.

Your engine knocks when you cold start it because the motor oil is not viscous enough to lubricate crank bearings, cylinders, etc. warm it up first, engine will last alot longer
That's actually the preferred method. You hook up the jumper cables and attempt to start. If the car does not start immediately, you stop cranking and you start the other car, let the other car charge the first car for a bit, and then retry with the other car idling.
