∙ 15y agoIt's called, "Undue care and attention" and both of you are at fault. The person didn't look to see if there was a car coming, and you didn't look to see if someone was going to open up their door. This is a "Mexican Stand-off" and it's best to come to some conclusion over this with the other person if possible ... you each share half the cost of having your vehicle being repaired. Good luck Marcy
Using the term fault in basketball is the same as using the term foul. It means that you touched someone while they had the ball in their hands.
If they backed into you, it's their fault. Failure to yield.
most times the person backing......rules of the road will dictate that the person backing must use a higher degree of care......nearly all claims I've worked where one is backing and other vehicle is moving forward, and certainly if stopped the backing party will be found fully or higher percentage at fault........
Technically, it is the other guy's fault. But it will probably be you that has to pay up.
In most cases, the fireplace damper is open when the chain is up and closed when the chain is down. Pulling the chain up usually opens the damper to allow smoke and gases to escape, while pulling it down closes the damper when the fireplace is not in use.
Only if it was your fault. If someone ran into you, you have no control over this.
Fault refers to responsibility or the cause of a problem, while blame involves assigning responsibility for the problem to someone or something. Fault is often objective and based on facts, while blame can involve emotions and judgments. Assigning fault can help understand the cause of an issue, while assigning blame can create tension and hostility.

If you're backing up, generally, you're the one at fault (regardless of how stupid the other driver is). However, some insurance companies may differ.
Based on your description the car that backed into the other car should pay for the damages. You can't get a ticket for backing into someone's car unless they were either drunk or had no license, both instances in which police should be summoned.
