Citroen was the first company to mass produce automobiles outside of the United States. Founded in 1919 by French industrialist Andre-Gustave Citroen, Citroen became known for innovation and revolutionary engineering. In 1976 the company combined with Peugeot, and is today known as PSA Peugeot Citroen.
