Ford Model T
Founded in 1919 by French industrialist Andr©-Gustave Citro_n (1878_¾_1935), Citro_n was the first mass-production car company outside the USA and pioneered the modern concept of creating a sales and services network that complements the motor car.
Henry Ford invented his first car, the "Quadricycle" in 1896. Production of Ford vehicles started in 1904, and the first car to be mass produced was the Model A.
It was the first mass produced car and started the idea of the production line.
Panhard & Levassor built the first production cars in 1890.
It's generally accepted to be Henry Ford, with the mass-production of the Model T.

I don't think it is mass produced, and because of that i couldn't come up with any information on it. It is debatable that the SMART car may be the smallest production car.
