Best Answer

Air resistance is also called drag on a vehicle.

When the vehicle moves forward it must push the air molecules out of the way, this causes resistance or friction. The faster the vehicle is going, the faster it is pushing the air molecules out of the way causing greater resistance.

What car has the least air resistance?

The ThrustSSC

Can air flow increase the performace?

The faster the car travels trough the air, the more air resistance there will be so it will be harder for a car to accelerate (hence there are top speeds). However, there needs to be some air resistance for a car to move.

How does a car reduce air resistance?

By designing the car to be as streamlined as possible.

Does a car use wind resistance?

Wind resistance (actually, Air Resistance) works against a car- it has to push air out of the way. Cars that are "streamlined" are designed so they slip through the air more easily than those that are not.

Why not

How do you reduce air resistance?

Give more flow. (air passage ways) If your in a car and theres a hurricane near you, you don't want your windows closed. There would be air resistance and move your car.

Does it make a 4.8 derby car good with air resistance?

No. Because air resistance includes with friction even if I is that heavy.

The faster the car the stronger the air resistance?

i believe through watching too much top gear that the air resistance increases exponentially as the car gets faster.

Ways that air resistance is helpful?

if you are driving a car and you are driving in the snow the air beneath the car and infront the car it will stop the car from crashing
