The 72 Challenger had 3 different gear ratios depending on the motor the car came with. If the car came with the 225 or 318 cu. in. motor it had 2.76 or 3.23 gears in the rear end. If it was a Rallye Car with the 340 cu.in. motor it had the 3.23 or 3.55 gears. The approximate ratio can be determined by marking both the a wheel and the driveshaft; turn the wheel one complete turn and the number of times the driveshaft rotates is the ratio of gears in the rear end.
Can? Yes. Should you? No. It is illegal to drive a car that came equipped with a catalytic converter without one. There is no benefit to removing a converter from a modern car.

My megane scenic was doing this and then suddenly yesterday the whole car started to judder badly as i was driving and when I revved the car black smoke came from the exhaust. AA man came out and said one of the coils had dropped and that was a common fault on the car. Now its corrected the car is really smooth again, gears go in no probs and revs are coming down straight away.
This can vary depending on if seat belt use is required by law but rule of thumb is: If the car came equipped with the shoulder belt it must be used.
